I just added a new game to my TpT store. It is a spring-themed before and after dice game. Basically you roll 1, 2 or 3 dice depending on age level and write down the number that you rolled in the first box. Then you practice counting forward or backward for 3 more spaces. Count the Ornaments Christmas Number Game
I just finished making a fun Christmas number game. There are two different ways to play.
The first way is to shuffle the ornament and word cards and place them face down in a stack. Students take turns flipping the top card over and correctly counting the ornaments or following the directions on the word cards.
The second way to play is to place all of the ornament and number cards face down on a table and take turns trying to make a match in a memory game.
I think that this will be a great addition to my Christmas learning centers. I am also excited that it meets kindergarten common core standards.
I will be offering this product for free at my TpT store until December 1st. Click HERE to head on over to get your free product!

| Putting the letters in order is always a popular activity. It might have something to do with earning a big buck for doing it correctly :) |

Nursery Rhyme Story Problems
We started a new unit on nursery rhymes this week. The kids and I have been enjoying it. For math class, I have left notes around the classroom, written by various nursery rhyme characters. For example,
The first day, I "found" two notes written to the class. One was by Jack and one was by Jill. One of the boys in my class insisted that the notes were not written by Jack and Jill, but by some other kind person since Jack and Jill are not real people!

Dear Class,
I started out on the ground. I climbed up the waterspout 3 times and down
the waterspout 2 times. Am I at the top
or the bottom of the waterspout now?
